Filament getting caught and folded in the extruder, need help
I've been printing with this marble PETG from Atomicfilament and have encountered this issue where the filament gets clogged in the extruder, often preceded by the stringing you see below. Also, below are photos of the filament after being pulled from the hotend and the filament as it gets folded in the feeding teeth. This has happened 4 times.
So far I've cleaned the gears, adjusted the tensioner, aligned feeding teeth with filament holes, made sure the hotend was raised. No avail. PTFE tubing is also new, clean, and seemingly snug. Seems to happen mostly when there is a lot of retraction. Perhaps I'm not setting the heat hot enough? running at 240c with base PrusaSlicer settings for Generic PETG.
Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated!

That's a really nice filament 😮
Release the tensioner, I had the same issue with PETG when tension was too high. Try giving it least amount of tension when it still grabs the filament and go from there.
Also, my PETG was wet. Drying it helped to improve overall print quality.

I am glad you have your printer in order now 🙂
Those are some nice planters 😮
