Extruder Motor not moving during filament load / printing

So here's a fun one:

I did the Bondtech extruder upgrade two weeks ago with no problems. Everything was printing great and my medical professional neighbors were flush with ear straps. Last night though I was doing a longer print and used the filament change command from the printer menu. The unload went fine, but the load got all sideways.

The extruder motor started making a different noise than usual. The advance stage went as expected but once we hit the purge, the extruder motor just sort of rocked back and forth without actually moving the filament. Naturally I freaked out and tried every trick I knew of before finally just giving up and going to bed.

Today, I've disassembled the extruder to see if there are any mechanical issues, and what I've found is that the motor isn't behaving as expected. I put a video on youtube to demonstrate what's happening, because I have no idea how to fix it. If you've got an idea, please please let me know. I'm officially in over my head.

Ah, I solved my own problem. Turns out when I switched the polarity of the motor, one of the crimps on the wire wasn't making solid contact with the pin on the board.

Fix the crimp, fix the issue.
