Cleaning dusty MINI

There was a reconstruction of my house, so I hide everything under some blankets and foils, etc. But the dust from the walls get EVERYWHERE. So now, I have a very dusty MINI.

What is the recomended way of cleaning it? Is there some thing I should be extra careful?

I am just going to vacuum and compressed air and then use some wet cloth/tissue to clean the rest. Maybe lubricate the moving parts after that?

Ouch. Construction dust is the worst. Blowing with compressed air may be the best I'd say, then wiping with cloth. As for rods and bearings, clean rods with IPA, let dry, move carriage to other end, clean with IPA again and let dry (you don;t want IPA to get inside bearings). Then lube with a bit of lubricant, smear vaseline around rods and move carriage over it, then on other side. If you hear ugly grinding from bearings or they even leave scratches on rods, you may want to get some new or at least try salvaging existing by bathing them in IPA and packing with lubricant. Hopefully dirt didn't get inside.

Don't forget to check and clean fans.
