Help with settings: TPU not sticking to bed and alignment getting messed up during printing

Hi there,

I am an amateur. The issue is that my TPU will not remain stuck to the printing bed. It falls off the bed, becomes disconnected, causes alignment issues so the print gets screwed up. My device, software version used, material, and relevant print settings are all below. The bed gets calibrated between each print to ensure that it is leveled properly.

Rather than bang my head against the wall for several more hours, I thought it would be wise to appeal to those who are knowledgeable and have expertise I do not. I appreciate your time.

Current settings:

Layer height: 0.2mm

First layer height 0.2mm

Horizontal shells: Bottom 5

Extra perimeters: True

Avoid crossing perimeters: True

Thick Bidges: True

Detect Bridging perimeters: True

Fill gaps: True

Filament settings:

Nozzle:

First layer: 220

Other layers: 220

Bed:

First layer: 50

Other layers: 50

Device: Ender 3 V2 3D Printer

TPU used: TPU Filament 1.75mm 1Kg Spool Orange 95A Flexible Soft 3D Printer Filament Consistent Diameter +/-0.03mm in Vacuum Package

Software version: 2.7.1+macOS-arm64

I haven’t used an ender.. but if you can print PLA on your build plate, you can print TPU. I’d increase the bed temp to at least 60.. and I’d use glue stick. Generally TPU will stick “too well”.  The glue stick not only enhances adhesion, but will also act as a barrier to protect a PEI smooth sheet. You could print a 20x20mm square, one layer and post a pic to allow people to see if your Z is optimum.
