US sourceable filament with factory PrusaSlicer profiles

Okay I'm systematically eliminating variables to try to get this machine to print right, print consistently, and be able to use Input Shaper. The one thing I've never done is try using Prusament filament. The crappy thing is that it's not available without international shipping. So in lieu of Prusament, I ASSUME that the filaments that have pre loaded profiles in Slicer that will make sure it's going to work.

My question is, does anyone have a list or good resource as to determine what filament is worthwile that can be sources in the US? There are about a million options in the Slicer and I don't know what's good and what's not. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!

RE:

Unlike in the early days of 3D printing, most filament brands are very good these days. I mostly use Overture and Polymaker PL, PETG, and ASA, and there are plenty of other brands that work fine with Generic PLA settings— Proto-Pasta, Atomic, Sunlu, etc etc. Where I make an exception is PC-CF—nothing I've tried compared to Prusament PC-CF.

For a new filament, you may want to run one of the many temp towers, but I usually only do it when I actually see a problem.

Printed Solid is a US based seller:

It is not particularly cheap though.

I generally print with PETG and have had universally good luck with Hatchbox. Starting with the generic selections and finding the right temperatures as @foxrun3d suggested might be all you need to do. Even without a tower, start with the temperatures on the filament packaging.

Mark
