RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Can anyone point to what the changes for R4 parts are?
If my Mini should be delivered as planned in the week starting tomorrow (18th May 2020), I would be happy to check it after receiving the printer. Some of the parts are relatively easily accessible 🙂

Something gone wrong with the spreadsheet?
I have come here to chew bubblegum and perfect my MINI ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

I think there was a little problem with the access rights. It seems to be working again.

What problem are you seeing? I think someone might have tried to sort the sheet without sorting all the columns, the shipping dates seem a bit strange, does that fit with what you are seeing?
I have a copy of the sheet I took a couple of days ago, so will try and find time tomorrow to compare.

My watchdog program (prusadog) reported weird script instead of the sheet. When I tried to open it, I got a message I need to prompt for rights to see it. Then, in 20 minutes, prusadog reported all is fine again.

There were no orders changes marked in our spreadsheet yesterday.

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
My mini arrived today 18/05/2020 (was forecast to arrive via DHL on the 21/05/2020).
Original order date 29/11/2019.
Super excited... just have to build it and start printing
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
First printer and just started unboxing. Haven't even started building and I opened the LCD screen and found this! There is a diagonal line through the LCD screen. I sure hope that I have not been given a broken/damaged screen or Is this normal?
I cant even test it until I have put it together... Any advice or comment is appreciated. Thanks

Doesn't it have a foil on it? Isn't it peelable?

The little blue tab at the bottom corner of the screen is the handle for removal of the protective film, which the instructions say to leave on until the last minute so you don't accidentally damage the screen underneath during assembly. You might be able to peel it up the edge slightly so you can see if the line is on the plastic or if it's a cracked screen underneath, while still leaving it mostly attached for protection during assembly.

I wrote to the support because I saw that the PLA "Galaxy Black", which I had ordered with the Mini, is not available. I have asked to exchange the filament to not further delay the delivery. I got a reply today that the shipment is scheduled for next week and that the PLA "Galaxy Black" will be included.
So now it will take longer than indicated in the shipping table 🙁 My order is dated December 10th, 2019, black, PEI+TXT, with sensor and PLA.

Yes. That is just a screen protector.

How's it going guys? I'm not posting too often but I still read this thread from time to time.
I'm close to one hundred print hours on my mini and it's been great! No failures yet - or at least not the printer's fault when it happened 🙂
RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
Galaxy black is beautiful indeed,
It is going ok, my issues (undextrusion) are gone since I have replaced the heatbreak by a Bondtech
Mini with FW:4.4.1 + SuperPINDA + Bondtech Heatbreak + PC4-M8 couplers + 1 piece boden

RE: Unofficial Prusa Mini Wait Thread
I've just been having a look at the Github pages for the Mini parts, and noticed there have been a few new revisions compared to what's fitted on my printer. I assume that the F-marked parts on a MINI are like C-marked parts on a MK3S: original supplied parts identical to R-marked parts of the same revision number that are home-printed. I've narrowed down the changed parts to the following four:
- Extruder idler - Fitted revision can only be F1 - Latest revision R4 (one revision up) - Changes: Selective infill adjusted
- Extruder rear - Fitted revision can only be F1 - Latest revision R4 (one revision up) - Changes: Larger hole for PTFE connector
- Mini Z Bottom (the mainboard case) - Fitted revision F2 - Latest revision R4 (one revision up) - Changes: hole adjustments, selective infill
- Z carriage front - Fitted revision F1 - Latest revision R4 (two revisions up) - Changes: (1) Selective infill adjustment; (2) Selective infill, smooth rods seating adjusted
My MINI is seeming to work fine for the moment and I'm thinking if it ain't broke don't fix it, but I don't know if these changes will prevent breakage later on. Not having assembled the MINI like I did my MK3S, I don't feel quite as comfortable ripping it apart without at least a teardown guide. Is there anyone who knows whether there is any long-term benefit in pulling a working MINI apart just to add any of these parts?
