Thanks to Prusa for the new firmware

Just wanted to drop in and say thank you to Prusa for the new MINI firmware. I just upgraded for the first time since buying the printer in 2020. So I was on bootloader 1.0. It has always been so reliable that I was hesitant to upgrade it since nothing was broken. With input shaper becoming available, I decided to finally upgrade to 5.1.3. It prints faster and quieter than ever before. It feels like a brand new printer.

There aren't many products in the world that can be so significantly upgraded free of charge four years after you've bought it. Thanks again.

Do you mean 5.1.2? I don't see 5.1.3 on GitHub so far. I agree it has improved a lot. I do complain though that many of these new features were promised 4 years ago and it took that time to actually get them. But, I am quite happy with the printer, then and now.

Regards,

Mark

RE: Thanks to Prusa for the new firmware

I've tried to install the new firmware but it failed to print my first test. I'm using a .2 nozzle and I've an error message when trying to print. Right now, it's not possible to use such a nozzle. There's .25 and .4 nozzle profiles with IS but if you try something else it fail and I haven't seen anything in printer configuration to modify the nozzle size.

Although my machine is only a year and a half old, I never updated for the same reason as you. After finally updating all I can say is WOW! THANK YOU!
