Depends what you want to print! The Galaxy Black and Galaxy Purple are nice, with a bit of a sparkle. I haven't used them but a lot of people are saying how great the Oh My Gold and Viva La Bronze are.

There are  two I've heard people comment on; the Gentleman's grey which is more of a dark blue / green type colour than a grey. Look at the photo of the model aircraft, that's a reasonable representation of the colour. The other is the pearl mouse which is a bit more beige than some of the photos, the photo of the dog is a reasonable representation. I have both of these filaments and don't regret buying either!

Enjoy the Mini when you get it!

No, not at all I made sure my Mini+ was the Orange version I think it looks cool in Orange and Black, I was considering getting the orange so if I made any custom parts for my printer it would match 🙂

When I got mine I grabbed a roll of the Azure Blue PLA as well, I've liked it well enough but it is a bit more dull than I was hoping for, the small samples of the Galaxy Black and White PLA however were fantastic, especially the Galaxy Black the sparkle and sheen on it is wonderful.

RE: Prusament Colours

When I bought my Mini a year ago, you could add two rolls of Prusament for the same shipping cost. I've also found that you can order two rolls plus spare parts for about $13 US shipping, so I have made my subsequent orders like that. I generally buy ASA and PETG though, but most recently tried PC Blend.

No one really makes a match to Prusa Orange, so I have bought several rolls of that from them. My wife likes the grey for other functional items. It does help to justify buying 3D printer stuff if you buy filament in a color your significant other likes and and wants you to make stuff out of. I've made storage boxes and spools customized for sewing items and have noticed many similarities between 3D printing and sewing.

So, I'd suggest choosing two rolls, assuming the shipping still won't go up. Pick at least one color someone else likes, if that is an option.

Regards,

Mark

That I have to agree with.  I have looked but never found a match.

Galaxy filaments with sparkles inside are really very nice. PETG Carmine Red and PLA Lipstick Red have similar effects after printing. I also like PLA Vanilla White with slight pearlescent effect. PETG Signal White is also really good, it is really white without any yellowish tint (I just wonder how UV-stable it is and whether it starts yellowing).

Mystic colors are interesting too, but if you print them aim for good surface quality (slow down print a bit to avoid ghosting etc) and use monotonic infill, imperfections are more easily visible due to its color-changing effect.

Universal black?  I did a search and it did not come up.  Can you provide a link?

I mean plain black without sparks, for example Prusament PETG Jet Black. For a technical product, of course.

Jet Black PETG is nice too, it's probably my most used filament now.
