Prusa Mini+ stops extruding after starting
My MINI+ stops extruding after starting. I have taken the extruder part 3 times to get a clog out and clean out the extruder, even put a new nozzle on it .
I measured the temperature of the nozzle when it is calling for 210 Deg C, it reads 170 DegC. A calibrated thermocouple was used to read temperature. Above the nozzle it reads 210 Deg C. It starts to print after I clean it out then it drops back to 170 and nothing comes out. It reads 210 above the nozzle though. Does something need to be replaced?

When you say you took apart the extruder do you mean the hotend or the extruder? Are you sure the filament is dry?

I removed the gear that drives the filament and cleaned the teeth. I removed the nozzle and cleaned out the clog in it. I removed the nozzle so could clean out the teflon tube that runs through the hot end. All was clear every time I started to print. But as I pointed out the nozzle temperature changed . Four times everything was clear and clean when I started to print.

I also keep my filament in dry boxes with a humidity of between 20-30% just before use.

Have you done a cold pull?

I thought I did not have to, as I could see all the way through the hole in the nozzle. It was clear all the way back to the filament on the roll. Then I fed it into the printer and that is when the problem started.
RE:
Bits and pieces on the sides could be a cause. Can you post an image of your first layer calibration?

I went a step further yesterday. I cleaned everything and removed all old filament so I could see through the heat end without the nozzle. I also removed and cleaned out the nozzle while it was hot, no material in it. Put it all back together and tried a print. It did not work so I purged the nozzle while it was hot (215 Deg). Got a full output flow of filament.
So I tried another print (the tree frog) it worked with out any problems. I can't explain it. I will try another and see if it works.

Here is a photo of a first layer calibration.
