Pavers for my Prusa mini

Attached

above is 16x16 pavers I picked up at Lowe’s. Total price was 9 dollars. The concrete slab was 3 dollars and the rubber paver was 5 dollars. Since they are both 16x16, you can stack them on top of each other for a perfect fit. It made a huge improvement in noise. And for 10 dollars?

Need a video of it?  See

RE: Pavers for my Prusa mini

I have 12x12x2 concrete slab, which I covered on both sides with StP Solutions' Black Gold which I had lying around. The latter likely does not have any affect on the noise, it just makes the surface of the slab smoother so I don't scratch the table it is on if I happen to push it around. It is large enough for the mini.

After test print this setup (the slab that is) really makes a difference. I have this on Ikea lack table tower, and it might be beneficial to cover the deck (bottom of the upper table) with noise absorbent too, but haven't bothered with it yet. If I close the doors, the temperature inside rises somewhat and I don't know how well the glue on those self sticking noise absorbent materials holds up. It would not be nice to have the sky to fall on the Mini during printing.

Interesting approach.  I did not think about a rubber tile.
