RE: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
The Firmware update was successful with both files on the pen drive.
Now I have a Boot loader version 2.0.2 and Firmware 4.4.0. Are these the valid new versions?
Greetings

Hi,
(1) can you give me an example how to add the API key to the url?
(2) is there a link how to setup the Wi-Fi Mini to Prusa Slicer?
I can help with #2:
Select the printer tab in Prusa Slicer and click on the the cog icon to edit the physical printer properties. Enter Prusalink as the host type, the IP address and the API key, which is remembered. It will take all of 30 seconds to set up and only has to be done once.

It's easy, as long as you know prusalink does nothing with the url parameter (it's only there for easy copy/paste), take the url/bookmark of prusalink and change it like this: http://192.x.x.ip/?apikey=yourapikey
(obviously replace 'yourapikey' with your api key and the '192.x.x.ip' with the correct address of your printer 😉 )
This way the url still works as it should but at least you can copy/paste it faster. It's also by no means a 'safe' way to store the api key. But I guess it's a workaround until they fix it in, hopefully, the next update.
Another solution could also be to use an autofill/autocomplete addon in which you can configure specific/single fields to auto fill the api key. Or perhaps some password managers (not all seem to work since it's not a password field) can do this for you.

That URL format did not work for me. It still asked for the api key.

Never mind. I get it now. The api key does not actually get passed to the printer that way. It just puts it in the location bar so you can copy it to the dialog box.
The apikey is a little over the top, in my opinion. These printers will not generally be exposed to the internet. Most will be locally operated, so it should be optional.

RISPONDI: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
Hi
Just installed this new firmware. No issue following instructions
Just observe that Telemetry doesn't work anymore ( http://yourIPAddress/api/telemetry) I have 401: Unauthorized error message
I was using it to recover printer status and info and display it on my home automation system. Don't know if it's normal behavior or if I have something wrong...
Cheers

I think you have to put the api key in the headers. See this thread:

Hi
After reading I guess it's not the same system
I was using the following command http://yourIPAddress/api/telemetry and receiving directly info from my printer on json format (Which is not working anymore)
Then json info is sent to my home automation systems which is Domoticz
Still looking for possible solution ...
Cheers

Hello, I have a question if the "API Key" remains the same after I power off and power on Mini+? I ask before I even try to install WiFi module.

API key stays the same.

Prusa Mini FW4.4.1
RE: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
TCP thread - precise data access error.
This is already a second error after upgrading the new fw yesterday, starting to be a little bit dissapointed.
- Printer upgraded to the 4.4.0+4180 firmware, wifi module not installed yet.
- The print was started directly from the printer (not from the slicer)
- Ethernet cable was plugged in at the time of crash.
- One browser window with prusalink (printer address) was opened in the macOS safari browser, window untouched for couple of hours, not even connected as the prusalink key was still not entered.
Anything I can do to avoid the same error in future? (ethernet cable already unplugged)
RE: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
I had similar issue, when I used the original name of the files - mini_release_boot_4.4.0+4180.bbf, mini_release_boot_update_pre_4.4_4.4.0+4180.bbf and I stucked with 12608 error.
So I renamed files as they are named here: Release 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ · prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy (github.com), Buddy_4.4.0+4180.bbf -> bigger file, Buddy_update_pre_4.4_4.4.0+4180.bbf -> smaller file and it works.
RE:
I have a my Mini since May. Got it with Firmware 4.3.4. Yesterday I tried to update to 4.4.0. I copied the two bbf's on the original USB stick Ireceived from Prusa. The first flash worked correctly. The second failed. Message:
Error ! #12608
-------------------------------
Firmware in the internal flash
corrupted! Ples
reflash the
firmware
---------------------------------
So far so bad. What I tried yet:
- used another USB stick -formatted identical to the original one
- downloaded elder Firmware (pressing the Reset button and the chooser wheel twice)
- renamed the both bbf's to "Buddy... " like described in this thread above
Nothing helped... and now I hope you can help me.
Thanks
Karl
RE: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
There seems to be a new problem introduced in 4.4.0, whereby the newest file is no longer the one that is presented on the screen when the USB stick is first inserted. I explain it in detail here:

RE: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
Does anyone have any thoughts as to why I generally can't get the "Prusalink" GUI to load.. I just get a "The connection was reset" message from my brower
I can ping the address and even upload files from Slicer.. But I can't get to the GUI.. I have tried http and https (I seem to remember only one works).. But I can't get the GUI... I am 99% sure that if I toggle the network on the Mini it will fix it, but that can't be a solution as it does this all the time.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Jon
RE: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
I too was initially suck on a screen that said: "Looking for BBF..."
After reading the readme.txt in the unzipped 4.4.0 folder, I saw it said _both_ .bbf files (one with "update_pre" in the name, on without).
I was getting the error because I only had one of the files on the root of the USB.
RE: 4.4.0 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ (Final Release) is out now!
For setting Static-IP, the format of the INI file is mentioned above.
But since there is no "Save settings" in the new firmware, does anyone know what should be the name of the INI file ?

Hi,
after updating to 4.4 my purge function no longer work on my Mini. It's works fine if i load filament (it purges at the end like it always did) but the purge function does not work if I click on it (I can click it but nothing happen, nothing change on the screen). I downgraded to 4.3 and it works perfectly fine. Does anyone have any idea of what may cause this (I'm using Octoprint on a Raspberry Pi and have a filament sensor if that can helps). Thanks in advance for any advice you could provide me to get that function working again.

You can manually purge from the printer, but I'm not sure how to do that using Octoprint.
4.41 RC2 is available. You should try that.
