Hot End Cable Stuffer Tool?
Still getting used to a new MK4S. One of the things I have done more than I should have to is removing / refitting the hot end. The most tedious part is stuffing the heater and thermistor wires into the tiny overstuffed cable clip. I mostly use a long finger nail. A smallish putty knife might work.
Just wondering if anybody has designed a tool for pushing the cables back when you put the hot end back in the machine? Seems like a useful tool for this machine.

I approached it a different way. It's a bit late for you I'm afraid, but I modified the x-carriage to have a slightly bigger gap, so that stuffing the cables in is a bit easier.

I just switch the nozzle in situ

Why remove the hot end? The nozzles can easily be changed without removing the entire hot end.

Well the last time I removed it was because I had a stuck print head and the entire extruder head was encased in a wad of plastic. Bye bye heater, fan shroud, x-axis bottom. Previously I had a nozzle that was jammed and couldn't be unjammed so I tried removing it and blasting it with a heat gun. No joy.
But to actually answer my own question I am printing this, thinking it might fit the bill: Putty spatula

Removing the full hotend is my preferred method because I have several nozzles in my stable that use the V6 adapter. Instead of having to hot-torque them every time I want to change a nozzle, I just swap out the whole thing.
I've found a source for different colored silicon socks so I can color code my different nozzle configurations. See this make of mine: https://www.printables.com/make/2170794

Hey, good find there. You might want to radius the corners of the working end with a file or something. You don't want to dig into the insulation with those corners. Let us know if it is thin enough or is too thick to fit into the slot to "tamp" down the wires.

Confirmation that the "putty spatula" that I linked to seems to be the right size to assist in stuffing wires back into the Nextruder channel. Will be printing the expanded channel part too.
