Need assistance printing MMU3 Finda part, overhangs are bad

Hello all,

I am printing out the parts for my MMU3 upgrade. So far so good, except I can't figure out how to get the finda perfectly printed - most of it looks great, but there are 2 parts where the overhang looks terrible.

I have a stock Mk4, am using the included prusament petg that came with the MMU3 upgrade kit, am printing on the textured PEI sheet, .2, 20% grid infill.  My first layer is 10mm second first layer (the first layer is great). The part is the R4 finda :

I have circled where I am having issues.

On attempt 1, I printed it on the sheet, no supports or anything. The part is fine except for those two overhangs.

On attempt 2, I printed on the sheet and turned on supports only for enforcers, and then painted supports onto the overhangs. The results were arguably worse.

Any suggestions?

I finally just opened the part in Rhino, added my own supports, and then printed it no problems first try.

I posted it if anyone else has the same issue. At least part of my problem (probably) is my printer is temporarily out on a desk in the open while I install the MMU3, normally it lives in an enclosure.

It would help if we could evaluate the .3mf file.  Create a .zip copy and upload it here.

ok, I have attached the 3mf (zipping it only saved 4kb so didn't bother with that).

The forum will silently drop 3mf files - zipping them is the only way to get around that.

I tried painting organic supports onto those parts and the same thing happened, albeit slightly less badly.

This is literally the last part I need to start building my MMU3 so it would be terrific to figure this out if anyone has any advice.

RE:

Glad you got it sorted, but this is rather strange - that overhang shouldn't be difficult to print normally at 0.2mm layer height.  Is your part cooling fan working ok?  Perhaps you could rotate the part on the bed so that the overhangs are facing directly into the part cooling fan's output (e.g. 90 degrees anticlockwise from the orientation in your 3mf file)
