2 color single extruder wipe tower issue
Hi, I've printed 2 color with single extruder before upgrading to the Mk4 (previously was a MK3S) without any issues. Maybe I'm not understanding the wipe tower and haven't found anyway to disable it (although search docs say I should right click on model and then click the disable tower, but that option isn't present in my PrusaSlicer 2.8.1)
So, what I'm not understanding with it as it is, I've got my M600 command to change filaments on Tool change, and after I change the filament color. it goes to the wipe tower and initiates a large glob on the first couple passes in the tower area. I mean it pushes the nozzle down and filament is oozing out around the nozzle and then tracking through this a couple times within the tower area. At times I can here the extruder motor gears clicking like I think because the nozzle is so close to the print bed, no filament can come out.
My questions are:
1. Is there a way I should be able to disable the wipe tower since I'm manually changing the filament and clearing any residue.
2. If not, Do I have some settings incorrect for doing a proper wipe tower?
My steps in setting up my 2 extruder settings is as follows:
- Right click on model and select Add Part
- Load the inlayed stl object.
- Select Printers tab
- Change Extruders to 2
- Click on the "Single Extruder Multi Material" check box
- In Custom G-code put in the M600 in the "Tool change G-code" section
- Set specific colors for the Extruder 1 and 2
- Back on the Plater tab
- I set the Main and the inlay object Extruders to their own specific Extruder numbers (main = 1, inlay = 2).
And that's about all I do before slicing it.
I do have my MMU3 that I'm working on building, but was hoping to do this printing before I get it setup for another project.
I appreciate any help or advice I can get.

For disabling the wipe tower, it is in Print Settings/Multiple Extruders/Wipe Tower/Enable. It has a yellow dot next to it so make sure you are in normal or expert settings mode (it'll be hidden in beginner settings mode). See this screenshot showing all the wipe tower settings:

There's something funky going on on here. I do occasional multi color prints on my Mk4's but never used the wipe tower. This time I thought why not (because I use it on the XL) but ended up with the same mess as OP. Tried a few config changes but eventually ended up just disabling it.

Thanks, I never noticed that and didn't think of it. I'll try to remember that next time.
