Where I have to mount the GPIO board?

Hello

Today, I updated my MK4 to MK4S. At the same time, I wanted to install the GPIO board. In the help article, it is only described how to connect the wire but not how or where to I have to mount the board. Is this up to me?

Thanks for clarifying
Patrick

RE: Where I have to mount the GPIO board?

There are a number of mounting solutions on Printables

Thank you for the hint with printables.

However I was looking for, respectively I expected an official Prusa solution.

This model ( https://www.printables.com/model/1016997-prusa-gpio-hackerboard-cover) looks like what I'm looked for.

I think the problem with an official solution is by its very nature it is going to be fitted to a hacked printer, so there is no way to know what other hacks have been done and therefore it is impractical to have a standard way to mount it. For instance I can see people wanting to co-mount an Arduino or a Pi and different people will want different ways to have wires exiting the mount depending if they have soldered directly to the board or used header pins.
