MK4S tension in back of y axis causes failed homes
i recently reseated the y belt after the tensioner came off, and after attempting a print, it infinitely jams the y axis, maybe due to some tension in the back or due to the moving belt? i'm not sure what happened here.
RE: MK4S tension in back of y axis causes failed homes
^ i should add i reseated the belt due to the tensioner being too loose and causing huge layershifts
RE: MK4S tension in back of y axis causes failed homes
update: after i updated the firmware to the new RC build this happened and now the issue seems to have gone away on its own.
i love 3d printing 🥲

apologies for so many replies in a row, but it's now layershifting. It always happens when i'm doing something else so i have no footage
RE: MK4S tension in back of y axis causes failed homes
after a bit, i've discovered that the belt is too far to the right, and i believe that the holder at the bottom of the plate may be knocking into the metal. it's also making a squeaking sound.

Your belt is way skewed. It should be nicely aligned top/bottom. The bottom should not be sticking out that far. I'd recommend going through the Y-axis belt installation instructions in the build guide and make sure everything is together correctly:

Specifically, step 32 which covers aligning the belt: https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/7-y-carriage-heatbed-assembly_707785#719958

turns out i had the little corrugated piece on the motor on backwards.... i've corrected it so i'm gonna see how it works
