Gaps where filament does not appear to be bonding between perimeter and infill on my new MKS4

The infill is not fully connecting to perimeters on many of my prints leaving small gaps and poor print quality.  I've tried 100% infill and other types that don't make any difference.  I've tried single to 4x/5x perimeters and that only makes it worse as the perimeters fail to bond to each other.  This does mainly appear to occur where there are sharper corners of 90 degrees or less.  I've also tried slowing the perimeter print speed way down and no difference.  All these prints are with PLA.  I'm not sure if this occurs with PETG as I haven't tested that.  This never happens on my MK3S printer so I'm pretty annoyed and bummed that the print quality of the MK4S is worse right now.  I have also tried using ironing which does seem to close just about all those gaps.  But, that's not always wanted and definitely not an option for most prints.  Appreciate any guidance/help anyone can provide here.  I've attached two examples of the gaps that are appearing.
