I would recommend a name brand drive. I think the formatting has to be FAT32.

I originally had issues with larger than 32 GB drives because of the formatting. This may have since changed, but keep in mind.

I think most drives are fat32 because it is more universal but is shouldn't be too hard to reformat.  Will a blank drive repopulate from my inline prusa storage?

Windows won't format bigger drives than 32GB to FAT32, but I've heard that there exist workarounds. Perhaps Rufus can do that? (Yes, I googled it, and it seems that way. Select "large FAT32").

But you don't really need a bigger drive anyway.

i got the 32gb mini thumb today, transferred everything from OEM thumb, everything works. The thumb stays on the printer.
