"old" Prusa Nozzle brass

Is the "old" Prusa Nozzle brass still usable on the MK4S?

Yes, certainly, I don't see a reason, why it should not work.

If you look at the configuration wizard in Prusaslicer, you see that the Mk4S offers profiles for both the new high flow nozzles and traditional nozzles.

There are now profiles for the new "HF" nozzles. For the "old" nozzles just keep using the "old" profiles. The outer dimensions of both nozzle types are the same. The differences of the HF nozzles are on the inside, like with the CHF V6 nozzles and similar variants. There are now also "HF" profiles to use those nozzles with the slightly antique MK4. 🙂

Thanks for the answers.

What is the difference between E3D high flow brass and Prusa nozzle CHT?

I can't find the Nextruder V6 Nozzle Adapter CHT or High Flow in the store, I have many E3D V6 nozzles of different sizes.

Is this the one you are looking for?  https://www.prusa3d.com/product/prusa-nozzle-brass-cht-0-4-mm/

On a chat session yesterday I didn't ask what the specific differences were but they said the E3D High Flow nozzle was an alternative nozzle but more money.

Thanks, but I was looking for this https://www.prusa3d.com/product/nextruder-v6-nozzle-adapter/ , but in CHT version, to be able to use the V6 nozzles I own.

I for one plan on trying an off the shelf CHT type nozzle using the standard extruder nozzle adapter.  I have complete confidence that it will work.  I will be a little more cautious and do some more detailed testing when using the MMU, but if  Prusa can build a profile that works with their CHT nozzle, than with a little tweaking we should be able to do it with our slightly different hardware.

Be patient, I'm sure the community will report successes and failure once the 4S mod becomes common.

Ok got it,  I don't think that part is different.  I think this is what you are looking for  https://www.robotshop.com/products/3d-printing-canada-usa-cht-high-flow-v6-nozzle?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzva1BhD3ARIsADQuPnUv-T4-0AtaCHBhENKNaXus_D6IRWKaX0dlAenypBIDHsULdM7GrCYaAg2JEALw_wcB

But made by Prusa.

RE: "old" Prusa Nozzle brass

The question is: Which profile do you select for the already available / "old" / hardened HF nozzles in PrusaSlicer for the new MK4s?

Technically, they are high flow nozzles like the new CHF nozzles. But the flow rate will probably differ from the new CHF brass nozzles.

And I suppose, that the new HF profiles for the MK4s in PrusSlicer are optimized for the new CHF nozzles as these will be

the new standard...
