What is this gunk/defect mixed in with my print?

Gunk/defects like this have shown up in my last few prints, and I was wondering if anybody knows what this is and how to avoid it? The settings for all of these prints has been:
- Material: PETG
- 0.15mm structural (0.4 nozzle)

I've also  been using input shaper. Any help on this is much appreciated. Also, ignore the failed print in the second picture. There was a layer shift during that print 🙁

These are bits of plastic the nozzle has picked up while printing and that fell off at some point in time. Not an uncommon problem.

The worst of this can be solved by properly drying your filament, but with some filaments I found no print setting or other way to get rid of the problem. That's when I came up with the idea of putting some silicone spray on my nozzle, and I haven't had a blob since then. That "trick" might or might not be a good idea - if you should try it, please post your experiences in the forum post I linked to.
