Pla prints with large supported area has Bad surface finish
Well, as the title implies, i am trying to print this part out of PLA. (forshape ecoPLA)
I have an enclosure and a filament dryer, and the moisture is about 44% in both of them.
I tried changing the top contact Z distance (from 0.25 to 0.1 mm), but this only made them harder to remove.
Does anybody have an idea on how i could get better surface finish ?
Thanks for your answers.

For reference, here is the cad model and the cross section to give you a better idea :

Did the printer generate supports?

Yes it did

Also, i made sure to check and the supports stayed attached to the build plate and there were no layer shifts whatsoever

It would probably print better tilted at 45°, you will still need support.
Cheerio,

Some designs are very difficult. I would print in two parts ( Centre disk and the rest with key lugs) press fit - and glue if needed
