PETG not sticking to textured sheet?
Hi all,
after printing with no issues for about a month, I suddenly cannot print anything in PETG since the first layer is not adhering to the sheet. Is there any setting I can change?

If you have printed alot with it the texture can ho down try contact prusa if the sheet is less then 1 year old

RE: PETG not sticking to textured sheet?
Prusa considers the steel sheet consumables so they won't do anything.
The usual first try is to clean the sheet thoroughly with dish washing soap and plenty of hot water, and after drying it wipe it with 90+% isopropyl alcohol.
Did PETG print okay for you before? On my Mk4 I need to manually adjust live Z at the start of the print by -0.025 to get good adhesion.

They do if it's less then 6 months old

RE:
Thank you guys!
The sheet is new (MK4 kit received less than two months ago). I will try the dish soap tip after this print is finished. For the current print, I lowered the Z offset by -0.5 and it looks a bit better. Perhaps it was too much, but my supports still look atrocious.
EDIT: At least now I get adhesion!

RE: PETG not sticking to textured sheet?
I'm sorry for the blurry photo, it's hard to focus when it's printing. Does this mean I lowered my Z offset too much? In my previous post I said I wen't down by -0.5, but I just checked and it was actually 0.05
RE: PETG not sticking to textured sheet?
how do you offset the z value ?
( funny i just wanted to open a toppic with the same question.)
PETG on the satin sheet works fine for me. (prusa PETG/extrudrPETG 0,4 nozzle, standard settings)
But on the textured sheet most of the times the prints gets shoved around a short time into the print.

As soon as the print starts, hold down the button on the LCD display, which brings up the Live Z adjustment option

RE:
I just finished my enclosure the other day. And did a test-print with PETG on the TXT-Plate. Temp inside the enclosure around 30-35°. It worked great. No brim etc. necessary.
For reference i did a second print, opened the doors and turned on the fan. After a few layers the print came off the bed.
So, in my case. It has been the ambient temperatures and unwanted drafts that were causing the problems when printing "outside"
RE: PETG not sticking to textured sheet?
Cleaning with soap and hot water followed by a very hot rinse did the trick for me. I had this problem when I flipped my sheet over after wearing out the first side.
RE: PETG not sticking to textured sheet?
I am having this problem suddenly with PRUSAMENT PLA on the satin plate.
This summer all was perfect, but now, with inside temperature around 20°C the PLA bend at bed level after having printed around 1 cm of print, and detaches. It seems like the new filament products are designed to move from an open 3D print to a closed chamber to be printed well.
