Here's the project file.
BT-70 BT-70 Falcon Heavy V5 Landing Leg tube 250+230+200 RTP PLA
RE: How to eliminate strange pattern on spiral vase.
I contacted Prusa support and they said "I recommend loosening both trapezoid nuts on your printer's Z axis' threaded rods". I did that and the prints are smoother, not perfect spirals but good enough for the part I'm printing.
RE: How to eliminate strange pattern on spiral vase.
Normally a Spiral Vase model is a solid, not a tube.
should this be printed Spiral Vase?

RE: How to eliminate strange pattern on spiral vase.
This is literally a tube. Part of a series of telescoping tubes. Works fine with my MK3s. Are you suggesting that I model these as solid cylinders in my CAD program and print those in Spiral Vase mode? That never occurred to me but heck, why not?
RE: How to eliminate strange pattern on spiral vase.
That is how Spiral Vase Mode is meant to work, and you will be able to set the extrusion width to match the wall thickness that you want
