X-Axis belt squeek

https://photos.app.goo.gl/iC4LRk7M5NnzWDEb7

As you can hear in the video above, my x-axis belt has a terrible squeak.  I just wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions on resolving this issue. I think the squeak is coming from the left X-Axis motor, which possibly could be solved by re-printing and replacing the "x-end-motor-R2.stl" (I believe), but I wanted to get some opinions first.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Best Answer by miroslav.h4:

You have a poorly mounted pulley on the motor, and the belt is rubbing against the cavity in the plastic part. Loosen the two screws in the pulley and move it away from the engine until the face of the pulley is flush with the surface of the plastic part, then tighten the screws. This alignment is perfectly documented in the X-Axis assembly instructions step 32!

RE: X-Axis belt squeek

Once again: It's good that the repair was successful, but the question that comes to mind is: Do you have no eyes? The glitch was clear after watching about 5 seconds of the video! And how did you check the X-axis assembly since I assume it was a kit? This is exactly what is pointed out in the manual. With this kind of work, it's not about time, but about careful assembly and constant checking that you followed the instructions exactly. The Prusa has instructions written in such a way that even a trained monkey can build the printer according to these instructions, if he follows these instructions carefully and does not rush to print something... Of course, you don't have to answer this comment, it's just a complaint about the fact that the builder immediately asks questions to others before thinking about where the mistake could be. That's more convenient, right? I repeat again that this comment of mine is not directed against you personally, it is a rather general thought and it applies to others as well.

Thank you for posting this question. you saved my day! I had the exact same problem.

Of course the manual is very detailed and explains everything but people do mistakes. I guess in my case it just slipped too far in the back and I didn't notice it. Looking at step 32 again really helped fixing it.
