MK4 ObXidian nozzle clogs mid-print, but reloads filament without issue

Hello, I have a stock MK4 with the ObXidian 0.4mm nozzle. While attempting to print PLA (PolyMax), the filament consistently gets stuck after a few layers. The filament is difficult to unload (I need to open the idler swivel and pull very hard), but when I reload the filament, there is no problem at all and the PLA flows as it should.

I have tried to increase the nozzle temperature to 220 degrees, which is 15 more than I would normally print this filament with. I have done a couple of cold-pulls, which did not show sign of any burnt material, and I have re-seated the nozzle in case there was a gap. I have looked inside the extruder gears to see if there were any obvious problems. No luck. What can I try next?

Don't have a Mk4 but my printing temp for polyterra with a nozzle x is 235.    So similar steel nozzle and same filament manufacturer.  I'd bump it up more and try it.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have now tried both higher temperatures and switching back to the original brass nozzle. Same issue. Could it be extruder gear or motor related?

Hi, check also if you have the right temp. on the hotend, one thing is what you see on the LCD, second one hotend itself, can be that you have an issue with thermistor, which for example i had in my printer...
