MK3 Frame
Do we keep the MK3 frame for an upgrade MK3 to MK4 or is the MK4 Frame part of the upgrade?
This is not clear (for me...)
Thanks
RE: MK3 Frame
You don't get a new frame with the MK3 to MK4 upgrade.
The frame from the MK3 is used for the upgrade to MK4.
RE: MK3 Frame
Thanks!
RE: MK3 Frame
The MK4 upgrade shop page lists what is and is not included: https://www.prusa3d.com/product/original-prusa-i3-mk3-s-to-mk4-upgrade-kit-3/
RE: MK3 Frame
OK, thanks too.
What about the "PG assembly adapter MK4 R1"?
I suppose it's deliver with the kit because I'm not able to print on a MK4 as stated in the comments
Or did I mis something again?
RE:
I’m not sure. Initially, Printables listed that that part must be printed on an MK4. However, as of July 10th they did add an STL for that part for printing on the MK3. So they now have one for MK3, one for MK4.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they continue to include that part anyway, since they’ve mentioned how critical the tolerances are (and assembling the Nextruder gears is one of the most annoying, fine touch required areas of the build).
Reference: I bought an MK4 kit (not upgrade) and printed all the parts on my Mini even though they were included with the kit, as I wanted other colors. Except the PG assembly adapter. I used theirs. It’s only used for assembly then removed and kept for future maintenance, in case you ever need to take apart and put back together the extruder gears.
RE: MK3 Frame
Thank you very much. I'll ask their support when I will know for sure when the kit will be shipped. You never know...
