Idelr tension - Overture 95A TPU

I'm having issues loading this filament so have been loosening the idler screws, but I'm not sure how much I should be reducing tension.

I am starting with the screws set to the front face of the idler nut, as per Mk4 build instructions, so was wondering how many turns looser I am best doing to end up with satisfactory tension for TPU filament use.

With stock settings I have had filament wrap around the main gear on numerous occasions, requirng dismantling of the nextruder in order to clear it, so looking for a good setting that will prevent this.

I don't change the idler screws on Mk4 for TPU.  When is the failure occurring?  The most common problem is just trying to extrude too fast.  TPU requires more "melt time" and has to be printed slower; printing too fast causes extruder jamming (and filament wrapping around the drive gear).

Try reducing the "Max Volumetric Speed" (Filament Settings, Advanced, Print Speed Override) to something 3.0mm^3 /s or less, and see if that helps.

It jams when I load filament. Once I clear the jam and load the TPU sucessfully, it will print fine.

When you have cleared the previous jams, had the filament made it into the nozzle tube?  Or did it all end up in the gear chamber?  If it is all in the gear chamber, then there's a good chance it is not being fed into the tube (i.e., not making it through the hole in the "main plate"). 

I know the "main plate" extruder part I received from Prusa was a pretty rough print, with the hole that receives the filament poorly shaped (not entirely round).  You might consider printing a new "main plate" and replacing it.  If you are careful on disassembly, the gears don't have to be removed or realigned to replace the main plate, but I recommend having a "PG Assembly Adapter" handy just in case.
