Heatbreak calibration failing

Hi all

After switching nozzles and trying the silicone sock the heatbreak calibration check no longer passes. Regardless of what I do with (setting/unsetting the nextruder sock setting and trying the calibration with the bare heatbreak) it doesn't pass anymore. Even after changing the nextruder hotend it still fails

Some info

  1. Calibration reaches around 175/180ºC before failing
  2. Thermistor readings are correct (see below)
  3. A full warmup to 290ºC takes 2m48s
  4. Firmware version is 5.1.2+134878, but this started to happen on previous 5.1 firmware

I verified separately that the heater is working as intended along with the thermistor:

Thanks in advance

RE: Heatbreak calibration failing

Hi, could you take a picture of the plate set to 85 degrees? I'm trying to debug some issue with hotbed in my printer, and don't have other MK4 to compare, but mine plate has lower  temp. around 15-20 degrees than the setup in the printer. And i can compare only with mini+ where i have drift +/- 2 degrees, not 15/20 like in mk4. i alleady got new thermistor to replace in the heatbreak, and this solved part of the issue, but still somethitg fishy is going on on the bed surface...

RE: Heatbreak calibration failing

Hi, thank you! Just for comparision, looks like i have second thermistor bad too, below is the photo of my heatbed set to 85 degrees:

and what is important in that setting most of my PETG prints failed, so after a while i checked this, and confirmed that plate is just too cold, so i set up printer for 100 and only then i have some 80+ C degrees, so the PETG is attached more to the TXT sheet. I'm anyway in some mail exchange (after chat) with support, so will provide also to them your photo, it looks that it may confirm my finding. I already provide to them collected data, from thermal vision camera, pyrometer, and thermocopule from multimeter, but i did not convinced them yet that the second thermistor is probably broken too. I already got second thermistor for the hotend, so probably they assumed that it's very unlikely that the other one is failing too. Could be that it's the other issue, still my hotbed is 15-20 degrees cooler than the setting. Thanks again!

After talking with support they told the the issue with time tolerances on this test would be forwarded to the firmware team. I hope so, as the printer itself is doing it's job properly, only this bothersome check fails

RE: Heatbreak calibration failing

i replaced the heatbed thermistor and now it's much better, i have much smaller drift between read/set value
