For those with the mk4/xl xlcd cover please give advice

The MK4 xLCD cover that came with my kit has the lettering UV printed directly onto the part - it's not a sticker.

For my MK3.9 purchase, I chose to print the parts myself, and it came with a sticker to apply to the blank part.

In both cases, I chose instead to print my own covers with the 'manual MMU' approach.

Thank you, so do you think that it would be impossible to get the uv printing off.

Why don't you just print a replacement cover removing the colour where you don't want it?

Because i wanted the cool uv printed rest and usb icon on my mk3.5 but i guess i will be printing my own if its impossible to get off.

I would have thought that would be easier and give better results than trying to separate the uv parts.

Id only take off the mk4 bit replace it with my mk3.5 sticker
