First 3D Printer - Nozzle seems to hit prints?
I got a Prusa MK4 as my first 3D Printer, so far all of my prints have been great for the most part. but I do have a small "issue" that I've noticed from the start, in that the print nozzle seems to possibly run against the print when filling in infill for example
Here is a video that shows what I mean. The print quality seems okay, but the sound is terrible. You can hear it around 20 seconds. Sometimes its better, sometimes its worse, sometimes it doesn't do it
This is with PolyMaker PLA, but it does it with Ender PLA and every kind i've tried so far. Using the Generic PLA profile. Is this something I should fix, or is this expected? Printer has maybe 20 hours on it total
what prompted me to post was that I did run into a failed print where the print nozzle seems to have struck a piece of the print, causing it to snap off. This was with bargain basement PLA, I re-printed with PolyMaker and it worked out good. Unsure what exactly caused the problem
I did clean the PEI with soapy water, made sure it was perfectly clean, no change.

I have the same issue. Something is definitely off with the MK4s and infill. At least with PETG. It builds up filament as it lays down the infill and that causes a crash once it deposits the blob. Blob hits the nozzle and boom - layer shift. Crash detection is seemingly non-existent.
I can replicate it 100% of the time with any (non-Prusa) filament unless I use gyroid fill (which essentially undoes the IS features of the printer).
Most responses are "It only works with Prusa filament!". So - good luck. Try filament that's 80% more than the competition (honestly, I haven't bought it yet to check if it really does fix the situation) or switch to gyroid.

Can you explain what you mean about gyroid undoing the benefits of IS? I hadn't heard this before.

Input shaping is there to reduce ringing, so you can print fast without (some of) the problems printing fast produces. Gyroid Infill is basically a sine wave pattern. While the pattern doesn't cross over itself on the same layer like most of the infills do, which causes the noise being heard (especially at high speed), the very fact that its a constantly changing direction line of printing means the printer produces more vibration and also limits the max acceleration that can be gotten up to. In effect it limits the speed you can print at.
So by certain definitions gyroid=limited Input Shaping effectiveness.

I probably jumped in too quickly. I was actively cleaning a failed print I started before I went to bed. I was cranky.
Seriously though, I'd adjust your max volumetric speed setting. Filament Settings -> (Advanced View) Print Speed Override -> Max Volumetric Speed. Whatever it is, drop it by 2-3 and try again. That helped with my Overture PETG. Apparently the generic profiles are much more sensitive now that IS is operating.
I was using Grid and just completed a print I failed twice by dropping from 13 to 11.5 and bumping all layer nozzle temp to 250.

Hi , I am having the same problem, for me it is also my first printer, the prints come out fine but I see how the nozzle rubs when it is on the filling, it is something very slight, but it should not be correct, I have tried lowering the extruder multiplier a few points but I haven't found the solution yet, has lowering the volumetric speed worked for you?
By the way I use PLA

Try changing to a more recent infill, cubic should be UK, for this.
The OP has free rising diagonals, always likely to warp upwards due to the uneven underlying base for each layer.
