Did "Configuration Update" - Now Firmware Warning

I was using Prusa Slicer 2.6.X (Don't remember) and there was a prompt to update to 2.7, so I did it. It also prompted for a configuration update. I did it, and perhaps didn't read everything.

Next time I sliced something, it warned that my printer needs to be 5.10.XX or later. But, my printer is not. Its on 5.0.1. The message never came up again

I went through the configuration wizard, and I see no mention of firmware anywhere.

What should I do? At this point I don't know if the gcodes are compatible with my printer or not

RE:

See my post with answer on the same question. I did upgrade to the 5.1.x firmware too so I can use both .gcode and the new .bgcode.

Sadly no luck with my MK4. I unchecked that option and exported a gcode, the printer UI looked super weird and didn't print, and I had to reset it

I guess I just completely remove Prusa Slicer now and re-install it? Pretty crazy there isn't some kind of way to confirm what version is supported with what I'm exporting

RE:

Same happened to me. Unfortunately I cannot get my printer to work with 5.1.0. In Prusa Slicer 2.7.0 however there is an option in expert mode which allows for gcode export instead of bgcode (which cannot be used under 5.0.1 firmware). You'll have to change to expert mode and in print settings you can remove the tick set export as bgcode. Printer will print those files with firmware 5.0.1. However images are neither shown on printer screen nor on Prusalink or Prusa connect.

RE: Did "Configuration Update" - Now Firmware Warning

Well in my case I opened the slicer to slice a simple part and there was a prompt about the new version 2.7.0 so I went ahead and updated it. Then I sliced my part and it gave me the message about the firmware needed to be 5.1x or greater when I went to export the .gcode and some info about binary .bgcode. So I went to save it anyway and noticed my folder looked empty as the file in it were all .gcode and I had to change the file type options to "all files" as opposed to .gcode etc. Then I was starting to think a little harder and decided I better update my printers firmware from v5.0.1 to v5.1.x and everything worked. I did go ahead and toggle the switch to export .gcode until I fully understood what was happening. 😋
