Mac Book Pro M1

For construction/design I use fusion 360.

I did the whole setup for the MK4 with the Mac, without problems.

Depends where I am.

If I'm sitting at work and have some spare time I use my Dell XPS 13 work laptop.

If I'm at home I generally use my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil (my preferred option), or I use my MacBook Pro M1 Max on the odd occasion.

I use Shapr3D, which I find works best with my iPad and pencil. It saves all designs to the cloud so I can access from any of the above. After a design is complete I slice it on one of the two above laptops, then place in on a SD Card to move to the printer (I don't use wifi/network - I like to keep things quick and simple!). I prefer working with SD Cards as my laptop has the reader port built in, whereas I dont have USB3 ports (only USB-C), and I like to keep a USB to SD adapter connected to the printer permanently as the USB port can be quite stiff.

RE:

M1 Mac book pro is my weapon of choice

fusion 360 is the Cad package I’m trying to teach myself (used Catia v4 a LOT in a past job so I have the basics).

As for file transfer - not built the printer yet, but I’ll be using a double ended usb stick so that I can avoid dongles. I also plan to use the Wi-Fi capability.
