Input shaping isn't what I'm talking about. The guy is feeling intense schlubbery because their printer is taking a wee bit longer than usual to ship.

I wouldn't call it trivial when Input Shaper was marketed as one of the big features of the MK4, showing off its benchy printing speed, and so on. Don't get me wrong, I would rather the quality and reliability over speed, but they did focus on Input Shaper a fair bit so I would expect them to reliably deliver, whether I choose to use it or not.

RE: Shipping Date List

I ordered MK 4  assembled +  textured plate on 31.3.2023. On that day the leadtime was 6-7 weeks. Today i am still on PAID status so nothing changed in 55 days. so the first time when i contacted prusa help was 15.5.2023 when they told me" Based on production rate, this order is currently estimated to ship next week"    "Yes, hopefully it should ship early next week".  No one told me that they have any problems.  Nothing. And than second time i contact help service yesterday at the end of day and i got this"Let me have a look.first here is Josef's post about he MK4 update. https://twitter.com/josefprusa/status/1658599305861799936?s=20Witht the delays to fix a few things. Current estimate is early June, that is the current info and it can change due to unforeseen circumstances.

What can i say, what can i do.?

RE: Shipping Date List

input shaper is not in function in first printer they delivered, so very strange marketing tactic from prusa team. showing 20 min benchy  on youtube but this function dont work is not in the firmware software so this is scam.sorry. HMMM. everyone  will wait a few days  more if this is the price to get the  100% working printer but i am afraid that they have other problems and ........................i hope not

To be fair I understand his frustration. Prusa take full payment, and although they had stated shipping wouldn't start for a while, it would be nice if they could at least provide an ETA for all orders placed. At the moment it's completely open ended and he has no idea when his printer will finally be dispatched - he doesn't know if he is in the initial May batch, and to top it off, 'processed in July' means nothing - in fact it could mean the units ship in August for all we know, which is in excess of a 'wee bit longer'.  I'm sure it won't but keeping customers in the dark isn't my idea of a streamlined ordering process.

I'm in the same boat. Had my kit order in on the same day as it was available, have paid in full (over a month ago now) and have literally no idea when to expect any movement with my order at all! It's not the end of the world and we have to exercise patience, just would be nice to have some kind of estimation at the very least.

RE: Shipping Date List

Most customers accept the Prusa practices.  It is well documented in posts and complaints how they do business.  Complaining on the forum is unlikely to instill change.

Yep, that is correct; complaining on the forum will not help, but the way I see it, it is good group therapy. 😀
Knowing that there are people out there in a similar situation as yours gives you hope.

RE: Shipping Date List

Sort of true.  It also adds to the misery for some folks as they have a little pity party.

RE: Shipping Date List

Complaining will probably not help but one would hope that someone at Prusa occasionally reads the forums and might see the growing discontent and maybe provide a morsel or two of more information on shipping schedules.

I respect manufacturing startup up issues on a new product but a little bit more info would go a long way.

However, I am not going to cancel my order and I will order the MMU3 when is becomes available.

Anyone want to buy my MK3 with full upgrades (printed and purchased but not installed) and mmu2 (new in box) when my MK4 comes?😁

Years of the forum’s existence would argue that they don’t read the forum.  It would be a shot in he dark to hit the right thread.

RE: Shipping Date List

Yes, chances are they won’t be scouring the forums or responding to any posts, but it’s a forum whereby we can air our thoughts, as well as complaints, freely.

Saying that, I admin a GoPro forum - not affiliated with GoPro at all - yet we did have an actual GoPro firmware developer join the site after reading a post about some Bluetooth related issues, asking for further information. Seemed it was an issue he was already working on and just wanted more debug data. I verified he was an actual GoPro employee and off he went for the info he required. So you never know…….

RE: Shipping Date List

I had a lengthy conversation with one of the developers of the Prusa Connect software in one of the forums.  So Prusa does pay attention to some of the forums anyway.

RE: Shipping Date List

Thanks for posting. It is helpful information.

Looking back to page 4 of this forum it seems that Prusa was shipping the MK4 assembled orders from March 30 a week ago. That is, printers ordered March 30 were shipping May 16 - 19. Now we have a printer ordered March 31 shipping on May 25. That sort of indicates it is taking Prusa a week to process 1 day's worth of orders. Not a great trend.

RE: Shipping Date List

I'm stealing this from a Reddit post... but Prusa says the cutoff is 5:30pm CET, converting to epoch time, which is what Prusa uses for their order numbers, anybody below order number 1681313400 is in the first batch. My order number happens to be xxx3369. So either I scraped in, or I'll be in the following set.

RE: Shipping Date List

Ok, we have a schedule for shipping dates. Based on my experience last time I went through this process (MK2 kit spring of 2017), I suggest modifying the customer reported spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11ai4kkLVdz8G4zY4TbugNyfZHD3dzmHmNUrDPPgmE-w/edit#gid=0 to add 2 columns, country and color. Both of these seemed to effect delivery speed back then and may still today.
