MK4 vs Bambu choice - MK4 in lead after some Bambu printers go rogue

Saw this article yesterday about some Bambu printers starting on their own with a number of different issues occurring when that happened. I'm not hating on Bambu, just stating that, plus how loud they are, makes this a no go for me. Here is the article https://www.theverge.com/2023/8/16/23064592/bambu-print-asleep-cloud-outage  .

Issues like these represent a failure to imbed fault tolerances in your programming and infrastructure. It may be a one off, but it could also be a sign of more issues to come. There are ways to mitigate this, like powering down and/or unplugging the printer, but I choose to pass.

My advice to everyone: stay away from bambu. Such issues can cause fire in your house. Yes, every 3D printer can cause a fire, but this is because of such a stupid error in there software.

It is interesting to see how this is reported. Many articles fail to mention that some printers were damaged due to this issue. They had to contact Bambu to get replacement parts - a mixed bag when contacting them. They operate through email - some get a response in a reasonable amount of time, others wait days or a week or more to hear anything.

Many not all. The article I posted also referenced hardware issues. So not clear on your point.
