If you read the attachment, it is clear that you will get a roll of filament if you meet the order date and if not, you just get a sample of filament.
I would think it has been noted against each eligible order so that the order fulfilment staff know which orders get the 1 kg of filament.
I'd be very surprised if the intention was to supply 2 kg for free.

My reply was in relation to the original comment from the member asking if the community thinks he will receive 2 packs of filament, given Prusa added 1 kg by way of "gift" separately to each eligible order, with info for the basic kit already stating 1 kg would be received.
The fact that a 1 kg pack will be received only by those who order before the stated cutoff was never in doubt.

I contacted support, and I am correct. Only those ordered before the date get the roll of filament, which is why people are getting the Gift.

I updated my order from Mk4 kit to the Mk4 kit + Enclosure bundle. During update the "gift" 1kg spool of filament got removed from the cart. I contacted support via the chat and asked if it would be possible to get the filament as I ordered the kit on the very day the orders went live.
They promised to contact me in e-mail, as the support was not sure if the filament would be included in the bundle also. I have to say I'm going to be a bit disappointed if this is not the case. Possibility to lose the "gift" filament was not mentioned when I asked from the support if I could update my order to enclosure bundle while keeping my place in the queue.
Anybody else in similar situation?

I believe the cut off date for the free filament gift was 31st May - did you make your change before or after this date??
If it was before then it would be nice of Prusa to honor the deal even though it may not have been included in the bundle - but then again, the bundle offer has already been discounted so I can see why they wouldnt include an extra gif on top....
Let us know what they come back with though!

I contacted Chat about my Mk4 kit order. I ordered with in 15 minutes of getting the email saying it was in stock and Chat told me that thatI was AFTER the bulk of the orders.... so you need a web crawler to actually get notification to get an order anytime soon...

I wonder how long it will be before the fact the use a unix epoch time to assign order numbers will bite them in the butt. I'm still stunned they do that. As a software developer I'd never do that ever lol. A simple big integer sequence or uuid would basically take care of the risk of getting a colliding order number if two or more users submit their orders at the same second....
I don't know if I was in 15 min, but I ordered a pair of upgrade kits on 04/01.

I think they treat updates as new orders, and generate a new order number. Hopefully you get it, the price of prusa filament in the US is ridiculous like 60-80 dollars a roll. So I'll use mines to test out the difference between there filament and the ones I get easier, like overture. Although prusa slicer only has a profile for overture pla.

A few times a year I order a batch of prusament. It's pretty good. PrusaSlicer has a lot of profiles for non-prusa filaments though. you do have to go back through the config wizard and add them though. I use a good amount of non-prusa filament. Overture is good, in my experience. Hatchbox does good filament too. I like Paramount3d as well.

I think this is the way it should go since I ordered the printer before the cut-off and added quite a bit of stuff into my order.

Prusa decided to add the filament since it was originally in the product description of the Mk4-kit.
They said this was not intended and a filament sample should have been listed there as they were not planning to add 1kg of filament into the order.
So they decided that everyone who ordered the full kit before a certain date will get that 1kg spool that was on the page when they ordered the kit. After the cut off date a small sample roll is provided.
I think upgrades have never been shipped with a spool of filament.
TLDR: Yeah, does not apply to upgrades to my understanding

Will anyone receiving and successfully assembling the MK4 kit please let us know which version of the firmware it comes with? It looks like 4.6.2 has a different self test from 4.6.4.

What type of Prusament are you looking at that’s $60-$80 a roll in the US?
PETG and PLA Prusament are available from Printed Solid for $36 per roll. Free shipping on orders over $50, so order two rolls and the actual shipped price in the US is $36/roll.
Usually I buy Jessie filament for most things, which is $20/roll, three rolls at a time for free shipping.
