RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I have an order date of 7/9/2022 for the kit had hopes to get it this week since im on vacation but no news of shipping yet. Patience patience
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I would like to think so too. But i don't know if that's a bad think or a good thing. I was down for the waiting, but if the first batches are delayed, then every other batch would be delayed....Longer wait period means isn't good even by prusa standards. I waiting a long time for the MK3 to in stock ready to ship. So long that they came out with the MK4 and i pulled the trigger on the kit. But no news in this case isn't good news.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
The first batches will be sold out quickly. Since I am curious, so i also will purchase a Mk4 kit
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Original shipping for kits was the last half of May. I assume this was delayed a little due to the motor issue identified a couple weeks ago (Limited batch of different spec motors), when shipping was halted for the assembled units too. Hence shipping for the kits must have been pushed forward to end of May instead.
For anyone ordering now, or over the past few weeks, I'm not sure what 'processed in July' exactly means. It almost sounds like they are looking to get the first batch of kits out and then halt any new order processing until July in order to see whether any issues arise with the first batch of kits before sending out any more - hence the June grace period. This would be like what they done with the assembled units too - sent out their first batch early on, then took in any responses, refined the manufacturing process (extruder motor cover change, etc) - hence may not be so ideal getting the first batch after all......

I will take your word for the first half of May. I just looked back at my notes from the first announcement and wrote "May."
The good news is that May is almost over.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Strangely, I am not yet concerned about the actual shipping date for the MK4 kit. It seemed likely from the first that late May would only apply to converted MK3S kit orders and probably meant May 31st at best. I expect "Processing in July" at best means some will be shipped before August.
What I do wish though is that the kit assembly manual (or at least its draft) be made public. I've reached an age where I no longer trust myself to start working on such a project without fully preparing myself.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Completely agree - hopefully the manual will drop soon!

There is a list with MK4 KIT orders.
This might gives some insights.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I remember on the Prusa Live VLOG that the the team said they would not release a STLs or a manual until they were absolutely needed to prevent Chinese copies. That is at least how I interpreted it.,
Completely agree - hopefully the manual will drop soon!

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
i can agree with that. I would really like to see the online manual before my unit gets here. As for my project MK3 builf it's making progress. The upgrade kit's form the MK3s aren't shipping yet either. the shipping date for those is some time in june i think. hopefully the mk4 gets here before my birthday in October. I've lost hope of getting it anytime soon.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
With the assembled unit now in the field some problems are surfacing. I’d rather wait a little longer for my kit and have these issues sorted out. Maybe the firmware with input shaping will be implemented too.
Also, with the MMU3 not yet available (nor the upgrade for the MMU2) I’ll have to keep my Mk3s+ & MMU2 as my primary printer.
RE:
If there is no letter by the end of May because there is a possibility to get the printer, I will cancel the order and request a refund. Such silence on the part of the company always means very bad. 900 euros is a lot of money for me.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Regarding of the google doc, I'm curently the first one ordering MK4 kit. ^^

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
Hi, my orders last digits are 20456 and it not listed in the file. Scared to ask what that means. I ordered an 14th of April, right after I got the email that order option is out. Now - 6 weeks after and writing to Prusa to get an update, I got an email saying that "they are happy to tell me, that the production will begin this month (we still have May, right?) and as soon as production begins they will be able to tell more detailed delivery time. ... and that my order will be processed in july (expectedly, but thats only a estimation . there can be delays."
Well I dont know what you thing but sound to me more that a startup sponsoring to me. I did not know that I am paying FULL for an article that I (maybe) get 3+ months after they have my money.
I am thinking about cancelling my order.
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I ordered 2 of the MK3S -> MK4 upgrade kits on april 1. So we shall see. Also waiting on the 5 extruder xl that I preordered on 11/18/2021 lol
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
That can be deceiving because many buyers will not put their info on the document.

Yes I know, but that can only be a good thing!
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I dont think the order number means your place in the queue because when someone changes their pre order xl for an mk4 they get to cut the line.
and they wont generate new order numbers for everyone, unless they burnt all the number of the numbers of pre ordered xl but that sounds complex much easier to just use the order date attached to the order
RE: Mk4 Kit Availability
I expected the second half of May to be more like the end of May. But what bothers me is that there is no official information at all. It's not the end of the world if I get the printer two weeks earlier or later. But at least he's already paid in full. With such long periods, paying a deposit first would have been more appropriate. In the meantime, I'm expecting the printer in July with a lot of luck, although I'm also one of the first to order. At least there was still talk of May when the order was placed. There may be delays, whether due to errors or other difficulties. But is it so much effort to send a short standard email with a provisional date?

In a Tweet or a message on social medias, I think Joe said that he will write a blog post when he will be back from US. Maybe soon?
