RE: Mk4 Kit Availability

Its really testing my patience, considering I've sold my MK3S+ as I received a very good offer that I would have been silly to refuse, so am currently printer-less!

i'm guessing you're in the same waiting period as me. I'm upgrading from my ender 3 pro. Don't give me wrong it's a decent printer i just cant fight wit it anymore. No bed leveling, those springs need adjusting dam time you need to print something. It's a pain in the bum. The waiting on a product you ordered is a pain to the prusa community, I get that. but i'm kind excited to build my first prusa machine.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability

So I saw that the MK4 was finally available to order, so I ordered it right away(~15-20 min after the order was available for kits). I had two Ender 3 v2 printers that I sold, but I managed to sell the two printers so quickly that now I have no printer for 3 weeks. My main problem with this whole thing is that I have no idea even approximately when MK4 might arrive. Maybe 2-3 weeks, maybe months... who knows?

Yes bro, I am in the same situation, I wish I had not sold it, but it is gone, and no estimated shipping date for the MK4 yet, seems like waiting for eternity.

I had an Ender 3 a year or so back. That bed levelling via the screws, and the use of glue sticks etc were certainly a pain. I sold mine after only a couple of weeks ownership and approx 3 decent prints!!

I heard all the kits shipments were hold on due to the defected bearing / motor issues some batches of MK4 assembled had. See the discussion here in the forum.

May be they are re-checking the kit components to avoid to have the same issues on the kits also. 😉

That could be true, but it is not supported by the post by Joseph Prusa.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability

I wouldn't expect Prusa to come clean about it if true, but it's a fair assumption if they had a bad batch of motors (which we now know as fact) as the kits will need checking to replace any that made their way in from the bad batch.....

I'd rather they did this before shipping, then receive an item I have to go through the hassle of getting replaced.....

One thing is for sure - Prusa support is really getting tested at the moment!

There were 2 issues mentioned in the twitter feed.  Looks like they are close to restarting.

So for a Prusa noob not understanding the lingo: what does "processed in July" mean?
Will they fulfill the order in July or just start to schedule orders?

Processed in July means that they will start shipping new orders in July.  The first orders will begin shipping in the last part weeks of May.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability

Processed in July doesn't necessarily mean it will ship in July - it means the order will be processed - in other words your order is acknowledged, any outstanding funds are collected, and your place in the queue confirmed etc.

With most places, orders generally ship very soon after processing, hence why cancellations are often too late at this point, but this is Prusa we are talking about - so when it will ship is anyone's guess. I do not anticipate all orders placed over the past few weeks (or however long the status has said 'processing in July' for) to all suddenly ship in July, although hopefully you may get an idea of how much longer you'll be waiting, maybe.......

Alright, it's almost the end of May. So has anyone who ordered the kit gotten there mk4? Or is it still being processed. They said shipping starts in the second half of May so hopefully someone on here has gotten the shipping conformation.

I would guess no device has been shipped as long as there is no assembly manual online.

The devices have shipped, but they were assembled.  The kits have not.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability

i wrote to support and they told me that the first big batch will be sent out at the end of the month... not individual packages a day but very large ones together

And josef say Input shaper should come soon :).think with the kits or a week later the first releases.

RE: Mk4 Kit Availability

Understood.  You used the term devices which was generic.

Based on the posts and Joseph’s prior words, I think they will begin shipping in a week or tw0.
