MK4 Manual Colour Change Problem

Hello,

I'm trying to Print this Bunny with a black body and white head and set a colour change at 48.60mm, after re-slicing the colour change is not recognised in slicer or the printer.

Any ideas why? (It works correctly when auto sensing a colour change)

Thanks

Ian

Here are two possible options
Black n White Bunny 1
the file above uses standard layer height colourchange and is currently set for PETG

Black n White Bunny 2 PLA

this option uses virtual extruders and height range modifiers to change the filament
this file is currently set to PLA

Hi Ian,
something odd seems to be happening with your project file,
when the model slices it shows the two colour model as would be expected, then the image changes to a single colour image

After slicing
I changed the filament colour in the right hand window and the image changed

and asked me to re slice the file,
and I got this (All Blue, Again)

have you actually tried printing to see what happens?

Yes, but the printer doesn't recognise the filament change.

My printer recognises your "Black n White Bunny 1" filament change, did you do anything else after clicking on the layer height to apply a colour change?

RE: MK4 Manual Colour Change Problem

Hi Ian,
After selecting height to make colour change, I also changed the colour for the two sections to make it more representative.

Hello Joan,

I think it could something with this STL as I made a name tag with the name raised and the colour change was recognised.

Regards Ian
