Loadcell problem? Help

Hi.

Trying to figure out if there's a problem with my loadcell.

3 actual problems are showing :

1- First layer doesnt seem right on the center-right side of the bed. It's substantially "rougher" than the rest of the bed (both to the eye and when touching it)

2- Loadcell value is fluctuating a lot (when you go in sensor info). At rest it fluctuates around -550. When printing it fluctuates from 2500 to 9000 on the print I checked (PETG, satin sheet and that was while printing the first layer). I have no idea if this is normal. Values seem to be higher (between 7000 to 9000) when printing of the center-right area of the bed (where the first layers doesnt seem right), and more in the range of 3000-5000 on the rest of the bed.

3- The smooth sheet that came with the printer is showing abnormal wear and tear (in no particular spot). (see pictures below) It already seems more used than my old smooth sheet that came with my mk3s+ . I have also noted 3 bumps that were made by the nozzle as I have not put anything on the bed that could have caused this. Now full disclosure I have printed some PETG parts on this, even though it is recommended to print PETG on the satin or textured sheets. No idea if this could be the reason? But I don't see why it would.

RE: Loadcell problem? Help

Will check when I get home, and although I haven't used my printer much yet, I've not noticed marks like the ones shown in your images. Almost looks like your nozzle is hitting the bed too hard/low, gauging the PEI layer on the sheet. Doesn't look normal at all to me. Is the nozzle pushed all the way in the extruder assembly properly, leaving only a 1-2mm gap as noted in the manual?

Loadcell value fluctuating all the time is normal although Im not sure of the values it should show.

Have you contacted Prusa support at all?

not contacted support yet.

yes during assembly I made sure the nozzle was pushed all the way in and there was minimal gap like the picture in the assembly manual

Maybe you should repeat the loadcell test, but first make sure the nozzle assembly is properly positioned, no need to measure the gap between heatsink and nozzle, there are two grooves on the nozzle assembly that must be aligned with the thumb screws, make sure you can feel when the grooves in the nozzle assembly face the thumb screws before tightening them.

I have done the loadcell calibration once more.

I did not know about the grooves, will check that also. Tnx
