Firmware is working. But I have bug error on my two mk4 printers failing X assis test's. And its not even starting the Y and Z axxis test.
Earlier on one printer witch was assembled week ago. All test's was passing on 4.7.2 firmware but after update to 5.0.0 is failing

I seem to be having an issue. All of my Prusa Connect connections stopped working after upgrading to this firmware.

It could be Prusa Connect is down again, or I will try uploading the cfg file again to see if that fixes it, but it seems to have happened the very moment after I upgraded the firmware on 3 of my MK4s

Just did the upgrade, FWIW no issues with Prusa Connect or X Axis test, the printer passed everything on the first try (including the fans, one of which failed the test on the 4.7.x firmware a few times).  The axis test seemed a little different than I seem to remember, maybe this one is more sensitive to slack or tight belts?

Running my very first IS print now.  On 0,1mm the print time is cut in half.

Just responding to my own post, I don't think the issues were with the new firmware at all. Just hiccups with Prusa Connect, Its working here and there even on the latest firmware.

Will update my printer later.

When I add the IS profile/presets, do I have to remove the previous one?

Or can I print without IS by selecting the previous presets?

Is the new release also advised to use with the mk4 kit?

Will I need to calibrate the input shaper to my build? And how should I do that?

RE:

My MK4 seems to have some issues with manually homing the printer after boot up. Sometimes it just keep doing wery strange crashes with extruder to the left side. Every time this happens I have to push the reset button - it wouldnt stop. After pushing the reset button it does home fine. I´ve had some issue with XYZ test in 5.0 RC firmware - it didnt passed the x axis, in new firmware it passes ok. Everything other works perfectly to me in this firmware, its printing perfectly. Very good job Prusa Research. ❤️

Is Input Shaper optional? I should have probably done a small test print but I didn't. I'm doing a longer print and I'm noticing some inconsistencies/layer adhesion issues. This print will be about 0.37% faster than it was with the previous firmware. If time is the only difference, even minor inconsistencies would not be worth saving less than half of one percent in time savings. I won't know for several more hours if it ends up affecting the print itself... but if I'm not happy with it, can I disable input shaping (and how)? If rolling back is the only option, I'll have a bunch of other questions.

Once the 5.0.0 IS is installed...

- is it possible to continue to use the legacy Original PRUSA MK4 slow profiles 0.xx QUALITY, 0.xx SPEED, 0.xx DRAFT for slow print, if needed ?

Otherwise I will delete the 4.x profiles and printer from the PrusaSlicer

Hello Antimix. In Prusa Slicer, select ( or add) with the dropdown under Printers: Original  Prusa MK4. Once selected you will have the original  Print settings drop down selection.

Slicer sees with or without Input Shaper as seperate printers.

Good morning. I have a problem when I increase the printing speed. Automatically it is like the printer begins to generate a filling pattern similar to "lighting". And logically, the collisions begin. Always when I increase the speed from the LCD

Since this is still pretty new firmware is Prusa interested in a crash log?  I'm not having a repeated issue to troubleshoot per se, but I got a blue screen and crash log and just wondering if it's something they want to look at?

@ Phantastic Plastic good point. Prusa Team could setup a kind of FTP folder where Prusa MK4 owners can upload crash logs when they get them.

In this way PRUSA could collect tenths or hundreds (hoping not thousands... 😆 ) of logs and go deeply to analyse them to understand what the issue was.
