While I wait for chat, my extruder motor is off by 90* (install error) MK4 kit
I am mid build and am plugging in all the cables, I noticed my extruder motors cable is not "on top" like the photo, but rather it is 90* to the left. I seem to have enough slack to plug it in, and everything else seem to be ok. It's a stepper motor so it shouldn't care right? Can I leave it as it is?

And that's a lot of work, unscrewing about four or five screws and turning the motor to the right position? How careful were you during the construction, when special attention is drawn to this? The work is rushed and not very valid, correcting the engine position is a tax for your inattention. Do not stretch the wires to reach the connector on the board, vibrations may damage the wires or the miniature connector. And besides, there is not enough free space under the cover!
RE:
Support said it would be ok, but I know I'll always have that nagging feeling that it isn't "perfect". I assumed it would be more work than it was since there were MANY steps after seating that motor wrong. I was able to pull it apart enough to re-orient correctly without having to redo the whole extruder/planetary assembly.
Thanks for the push to do it right.
"correcting the engine position is a tax for your inattention" you are not wrong. 🙂

Do not take shortcuts - if something is off, fix it now. It will only cause issues later. Follow the guide as religiously as possible. If it were me building, I would backtrack and do things 'properly'....
