Nozzle temperature - sending files from prusa link

Hello

I recently received my Prusa MK4, and are starting to print small items..
When i use prusalink, and transfer files ddirectly to the printer, the nozzle temperature does not follow the configuration i set in prusaslicer..
When the file is received, and i start printing, the temperature is never higher than 170 degrees - i have to manually tune via display to set the correct temp..

Any ideas as to why ?

Torben

Hi Torben!

The Mk4 uses a two stage heat up. It initially heats to 170C, does the Mesh Bed Levelling, and then heats to the expected temperature...
so the chances are it's working correctly.

I suggest that you start a print, then stick your hands in your pockets. and keep them there until you ger an actual error message...

chances are. you won't...

regards Joan

He he ... like your response   🙂

I couldn't find the initially heat settings you refer to in any descriptions, but of course it sounds reasonable... 🙂
Will promptly sit on my hands whenever starting a new printout....

The reduced temperature is so that the filament does not drip from the nozzle during the initial probing of the bed. This reduced temperature is set by the Prusaslicer depending on the material. Its change is possible and is set in the initial gcode in the printer settings. This setting is only accessible in expert mode. But it is not recommended for beginners.
