Issues on higher levels - print destroyed
Hi,
the first small prints were fine. Now I printed something bigger and found this this morning.
In the last days I had a similar issue when printing a spool part, but thought it was because of a problem with the filament, which wasn't pretty tightly spooled. Now I'm not sure.
So: the first layers seem to be ok, then for some reason something gets messed up.
I was printing Prusament PETG both times on the TXT sheet, 0.4 nozzle, 15% infill and 0.2 or 0.15.
Unfortunately I don't have a cam set up yet so I don't have video or timelapse.
What is likely to cause these issues? How can I prevent them?
Thanks
K.
Picture? Otherwise we're guessing.
Cheerio,

Good evening Kassi,
the images in the first post, are still in the post, however there is formatting information before and after the images, which are preventing them from displaying,
they have not been removed by a moderator as you can see from the image below
the information between the square brackets is causing problems. there is un necessary formatting before and after each photo.

Thanks for clarification. However that got there. Maybe I added some newlines to have the pictures on the left? Will keep an eye on that when posting.

Good morning Kassi
If you put pictures on a new line, they will automatically appear on the left

Please confirm - this is either a bed of multiple parts printing together or a single large part with several start points, effectively multiple parts until they join higher up ..?
If so, it looks like one of them lost adhesion and then crashed the print head and other parts dislodging some and causing the print head to lose its homing position.
(It's possible but *very unlikely* that a part dislodged and then restuck in a new position.)
In which case the commonest cause is a dirty print sheet - fingerprints and stray lubricant would be first suspect.
Next, if it's a single large multistart part, is a fractionally off-level base so that when one side is firmly stuck the other is tilted, say, 0.1mm higher and so only loosely attached. To fix this case use the Place on face button.

It's multiple parts on a plate to print them all at once.
I actually cleaned the sheet with IPA before printing.
RE:
Got another issue recently I had in a similar way this morning.
I can't remember having seen this being broken after 50% of the print finished, so I don't know when this happens (or even why). It's 2x the same piece. Why did it break away suddenly?
Definitely need to install a camera! At the moment it seems that every second print fails somehow. This is a lot of trash I produce and time I waste, which makes me really disappointed at the moment.
How much does room (enclosure inner) temperature affect the print stability btw?
RE: Issues on higher levels - print destroyed
MK4 is very disappointing for me after the first 2 weeks.
Got another print destroyed where more than 1 object was on - not a big on though.
First layer looks ok, next layers as well, but then something happens and everything screws up. Same as in my first images, now a new one:
Again: MK4 IS, 0.4 nozzle, printing PETG (Prusament Prusa Orange) on Textured sheet.
I'd like to understand what might cause these issues and what I can try to prevent it.
I already have a box full of trash and weighing it tells me: 50% of what I tried to print fails. This is very disappointing and kind of a gamble game.

(Editing time over).
In addition to my last post and answer from @Diem:
First image I posted shows 7 tiles placed with the place on face button on the sheet.
Most recent image is from a print of https://www.printables.com/model/543553-gridfinity-storage-box-by-pred-now-parametric/files, namely GridfinityStorageBox_5xY_Handle_Latch_Hinge_0.4n_0.2mm_PETG_MK4_3h27m.
I also clean my sheet with IPA and use gloves for not touching it.
Anything else I can try? Measure? Watch?
Video cam is not yet installed, but I'm trying. Takes some time though.
I can print a small single object like toe 1x1 Gridfinity box. That worked couple of times.
Maybe when it's "too much" (although the gcode posted shouldn't be too much honestly). I really don't know how I should ever print something larger like the 5x4 Gridfinity box, when it's about not sticking after some time of printing.
Clean with IPA between prints.
At the first hint of a problem, use dishwashing detergent (Dawn/Fairy) and HOT water.
If this is not enough rub neat dishwashing detergent into the sheet, wait a few minutes then rinse clean with VERY HOT water.
If that's not enough use acetone: *On the smooth sheet only* - not the sheet in your pictures - once or twice a year at most.
All this assumes fingerprints, perhaps stray sugars or light lubricants but if you are using aerosols, sprayers, laser cutters, welding kit or similar in the same workshop then there might be other cleaning agents required. The sheet must be clean.
