Elephant Foot compensation is failing

Recently, the Elephant Foot compensation on my MK3.9S has been failing.  This happens with PLA and PETG, brands that I have used for a long time, with slicer profiles I have also used for a long time without a problem.  The same files and profiles on the Core One do not have a problem.  I have tried changing the compensation from 0.2 to 0.3 and 0.4 to no avail.  I have tried adding a chamfer to the objects I design, and that helps some, but does not eliminate the problem.  Adding a chamfer to STLs can be difficult, if not impossible.  The heat bed test passes.
