MK3S+ Z offset issues
I have updated it to the latest firmware and run the calibration wizard multiple times and it always come back good. But what I cannot get right is the z offset. I adjusted the pinda as the manual says. Put the nozzle just off the bed without a sheet on. I put the zip tie under the probe. Tighten it down. But I have to dial the z offset to - 2.7 or lower to even get the filament to stick. The but it's so low the pinda is almost touching the filament that is bring laied down. Surface is rough, any higher and it's speggetti. Manual says z shoukd be about 1.5. At that setting there is zero squish. What the hell am I doing wrong?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
It reads as if you are using the wrong size cable tie - easy to do when several years have elapsed while your spares box is repeatedly rummaged.
An alternative when presetting the PINDA is to use a credit card for the thickness (for anyone reading who has the SuperPINDA - use two credit cards) and proceed as usual.
If you are having trouble with the first layer calibration show us the resulting print *on the print sheet* and we'll advise.
Cheerio,
