Will not order parts or filament from Prusa
I wish Prusa could fix this issue, but after recieving my Mk2.5 upgrade kit I was hit with another $41 Charge because they use UPS after the initial $41 charge on the bed itself. It is rediculous to have to pay shipping twice, yes I know that UPS is technically seperate and its a "Imported Item Fee" but honestly, why pay double shipping when you can get any piece locally for much cheaper.
Prusa needs to either not charge shipping themselves or stop using companies that charge up to 50% of the items price for importing fees.
As much as I love Prusa, their products are great and so is their customer service, I can't support buying filament or replacement parts from them anymore.

So, have you also contacted Prusa themselves to discuss the issue?

I am curious as to where you are located. I am in US/Florida and have ordered/received multiple printers, upgrades and parts from Prusa all via UPS with no additional charges beyond what I paid direct to Prusa.

Re: Will not order parts or filament from Prusa
This is an issue between your nation's government and you AFAIK? Prusa and UPS don't get to decide what your country's import laws are. For example, anything under $400 attracts no duties in my country... but Prusa just combined two of my orders into the same package so I will probably now get stung.

You lucky person! Here in Slovenia, anything in excess of €20 coming from outside the EU gets clobbered with duty and 22% sales tax on the cost of the goods and shipping costs combined.

Ouch. Sadly I think it's about to change to something similar here soon too. The current government have been talking about it ever since gaining power a few months ago. 🙁
P.S. My filament package must have just snuck through. 😀
