Why can't I write a Private Message? [SOLVED]
Private Messages used to work, but now when I try to create one, it doesn't add the addressee but instead shows the name below the add box with a red X beside the name. I would PM the forum administrator to ask why, but I can't.

Perhaps some people have PM disabled or their inbox is full ...

There is a maximum inbox size as well. If it keeps a copy of your sent messages, you may have hit the limit. Check your message inbox and delete older or unneeded messages.

I believe the red X is to delete the recipients / addressee entry

OK, I guess I was mis-interpreting the information. On the other forum that I use a lot, the valid addressees show up in a different place and they don't have a red X beside them. But that forum is using a very old version of the software. This old dog has to learn the new tricks. 😆
