What is the effect of heating device on stringing?
Hello, some people suggested using a heat gun, air blower or touch to remove strings. What does it actually do to the strings? Melt them? Blow them away? Merge them into existing prints?

I am a bit worry that doing so would deform or modify the mechanical property of the prints.

Deformation is usually no problem. I use a heat gun for strings/web removal frequently. The air stream just has to be hot and fast so it removes the strings instantly and the model has no time to heat up and deform.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

I heard that temperature change affects the quality of printing. Have you experienced any problems?
