Which is over three years ago.
Jakub has not posted any follow-up requests, which suggests that there is no longer a need for additional technical writers.
However, if you actually follow the contact request instructions from the original post, Jakub may be able to answer your questions directly

Maybe you should muse on the meaning of the word "Preferably", but that was not the most significant of the questions.

Taking the post down, or amending the post to say that the vacancy was filled would suggest that there is no longer a need.
Leaving it up suggests they are still looking.

Which would likely be a waste of my time and his, whereas a simple question and answer on a public forum would answer it for everybody.

Perhaps your desire for accuracy would be best discussed with the person who wrote the post in the first place, as it is not My responsibility to answer for others.
I am not able to interpret "Preferably" on behalf of the original poster. that would be a discussion for you and him. which would be better discussed in a private medium, such as email. I do know from experience that at least one member of the Prusa staff was originally based in the USA and is now based in Prague so Obviously there is some flexibility and job satisfaction within the Prusa employment environment.
Your second post on this subject could have read something like,
"Thank you, I Missed the email address and the preferred location, when I first read the post. I will contact Jakub and discuss the remaining queries with him"
Maybe there is still a need for Technical writers, and maybe the "gatekeeper" is the ability to read and understand the information contained in the invitation.

Maybe there is still a need for Technical writers, and maybe the "gatekeeper" is the ability to read and understand the information contained in the invitation.
Maybe, but personally I would prefer to hire someone who asks pertinent questions and takes the best path to the relevant information.

I am not really interested in the position, so have not reached out (sent an emai) to Jakob…
But, I do want to get in on all this wonderful dialogue about wanting the position, wondering if the position is still open, asking if one should apply, speculating if “Joan” is Siri or Alexa’s relative and just becoming part of this wonderful drama!
