Uk purchaser - PRUSA is loosing.....
I already have a Prusa MK3+ so have ordered a ready-built MK4.
I thought to add some more bits to my order but was told by customer support that you can't - you live in the UK and there is some sort of customs issue. Nothing can be added to this order.
I was told you can cancel your order though and rebook it with the additional bits you want ( prusament etc.) But if I do that, I will go to the back of the queue for my MK4.
So I did not order any more parts - bearing in mind what I consider to be the heavy charges Prusa make for delivery.
Even small lightweight parts are expensive. There does not seem to be a low cost way to get either lightweight or low cost parts from Prusa without heavy DHL charges.
So is this actually correct? Or was someone in CS fobbing me off.
If someone who knows at Prusa how I can add stuff to my order, without new postage charges (I don't mind extra charges for weight) then please get in touch with me here to start with by PMing me.

If I remember recent history Britain fought for this outcome; sorry to say.

The only good thing to come out of this is when I go to the EU I can get fags for my dad cheaply. Also buying goods and personally exporting them from the EU means VAT is not payable. (up to the personal limit).
Besides that I cant think of anything good about leaving the EU.
Prusa have registered for a UK import deal where for shipments up to a certain value they pay UK vat externally. Before leaving the EU you would have paid Czech VAT at 21% instead of UK VAT at 20% so you save about £9 over the old system, if they used the VAT free export system you would pay the same VAT as import tax BUT, unless you go to the port in person and deal with the paperwork your import agent - the delivery company, will add a handling charge and that is typically around £20 - £50. If you go over their threshold you will incur a handling charge anyway.
It may not feel like it but they are probably saving you some money.

yes this is a n improvement.
I was not complaining about that point.
But the fact that I could not add 50 ukp of goods to an existing order BEFORE it was even picked or shipped and added to my order.
But after the customs procedures had been triggered by the international money transfer ...

Hmm... That's interesting.. I edited my assembled Mk4 order orignally made on April 4th to include a enclosure a couple of weeks ago, this was after chatting with an agent who said I wouldn't lose my place in the queue for the mk4. Import issuses were not mentioned at this point? I did end up with the same order number though as for extra import charges or issuses I guess I'll find out when the import/Vat charges are due for payment or Customs stop the order.
